ODU Deans' Education Abroad Award for Summer Affiliated Programs
 
Deans' Education Abroad Awards are provided by the Deans of ODU's Colleges and the Center for Global Engagement to academically deserving students accepted by the Center for Global Engagement for an approved affiliated summer study abroad program. These awards are up to $1,500 and will be applied to the student's ODU account.

Please note: This award does NOT apply to ODU's faculty-led programs.

REQUIRED ELIGIBILITY
  • 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
     
  • Declared major
     
  • Currently enrolled at ODU
 
  • Degree-seeking
     
  • Acceptance into an affiliated summer study abroad program approved by the Office of Study Abroad

PREFERRED ELIGIBILITY
  • Demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid

Please note: Scholarships will not be awarded until eligibility is determined by the Office of Financial Aid.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Completed online application. Academic information (i.e. GPA, major, etc.) is automatically pulled from LEOonline. You will not be asked to provide this information.
     
  • 100 word statement describing what motivates you to study abroad and what you hope to gain from the experience on the program you've chosen.
     
 

Please note: if you have not already completed a FAFSA application for the current academic year with ODU’s Office of Student Financial Aid, we strongly recommend completing a FAFSA application prior to the deadline for the current academic year in order to be registered with ODU’s Office of Student Financial Aid as it may impact your scholarship application.
