Department of Psychology
Study Abroad Scholarship


A $3,000 scholarship awarded to an outstanding Psychology major who is studying abroad at an exchange partner university in the United Kingdom for a semester or year.

REQUIRED ELIGIBILITY
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher preferred
     
  • Declared psychology major at time of application
     
  • Acceptance into a study abroad program at an exchange partner in the United Kingdom

PREFERRED ELIGIBILITY
  • Demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Complete the online application by clicking "Apply Now" above. This application requires:
  • 300-500 word essay describing what motivates you to study abroad, what you hope to gain from the experience, and how it might relate to your future academic and/or career goals. You will also need to include a description of any extracurricular activities you are involved in on campus.
     
  • One to two letters of recommendation from current or former college faculty members (to be requested electronically)

 

Please note: if you have not already completed a FAFSA application for the current academic year with ODU’s Office of Student Financial Aid, we strongly recommend completing a FAFSA application prior to the deadline for the current academic year in order to be registered with ODU’s Office of Student Financial Aid as it may impact your scholarship application.
